Custom Design Policy
Fusion 3D LLC
We create custom products with care and attention to detail. This policy explains how we handle special design requests and any additional work required to prepare your project for production.
Standard Options and Custom Work
Product prices include the features and customization options expressly listed in the product description. Requests beyond those options may require a separate design quote.
Additional work may include logo cleanup or tracing, custom lettering and graphics, original CAD modeling, changes to an existing design, or converting artwork into a format suitable for 3D printing.
Quotes and Design Fees
Design fees depend on the complexity of the request, the condition of supplied files, and the preparation required. Design charges are separate from manufacturing and shipping unless the quote states otherwise.
We will explain any additional charges and obtain your approval before beginning chargeable work. Your quote will identify the agreed scope, deliverables, and any required payment.
Artwork and Project Details
Please provide clear artwork, exact wording, dimensions, quantities, and any specific requirements when requesting a quote. Tell us about fitment requirements and intended use before design work begins.
You must own or have permission to use any submitted logos, artwork, phrases, or other protected material. We may request confirmation of permission before accepting a project.
Revisions and Scope Changes
Your quote will specify any included revisions. Additional concepts, changes to approved artwork, or requests outside the agreed scope may require additional fees and affect the completion date. We will discuss and obtain approval for these changes before proceeding.
Design Approval
When a proof or preview is provided, please review spelling, wording, layout, dimensions, and other specified details carefully. Written approval confirms that the design is ready for production.
Changes requested after approval may require additional design work or remanufacturing at an additional cost. If we produce something that does not match the approved specifications, please contact us so we can review and address the issue.
Printing and Appearance
Some details may need adjustment to print clearly and reliably. We will discuss material design changes before production.
Digital previews illustrate the design but may not reproduce exact printed colors or surface textures. Layer lines and small variations are normal characteristics of 3D printing.
Timing
Custom design and preparation can add time to the standard production schedule. Project timing depends on complexity, revisions, receipt of required information, approval, and any required payment. We will communicate the anticipated schedule during the quoting process.
Cancellations
Contact us promptly if you need to cancel. Your quote will explain any cancellation terms, including charges for authorized design work already completed. Product returns and refunds are addressed separately in our applicable return and refund policy.
Design Files
Your quote will identify whether the order includes physical products, digital files, or both. Editable CAD models and production files are included only when expressly stated in the quote.
